O edital troglodita da Universidade Federal do ABC, em que o sionismo é tratado como uma forma de racismo similar ao nazismo, virou notícia no Haaretz, o mais importante jornal de Israel.
Intitulada “Universidade brasileira pede que professor ensine sionismo como um conceito racista”, a reportagem critica o edital da UFABC e cita o post publicado neste blog.
O texto do Hareetz informa que o presidente da Confederação Israelita do Brasil, Fernando Lottenberg, se reuniu com o ministro da Educação, Mendonça Filho, para tratar do episódio. Segundo Lottenberg, Mendonça se mostrou “surpreso e chateado” e chamou a história de “absurda”.

A Brazilian federal university released a public notice saying it wants to hire a teacher who must teach that Zionism is a racist concept.
The ABC Federal University seeks a teacher of “racial-ethnic relations” who must include in the curricula the subject “connections of whiteness and racist regimes: apartheid, Nazism, Zionism.”
The president of the Brazilian Israelite Confederation, Fernando Lottenberg, met Brazilian minister of education Mendonca Filho on Tuesday to discuss the notice. In addition, the Jewish official spoke about pre-university exams on Saturdays and adding Jewish history to the national school curricula.
The minister was “surprised and upset” and declared that he finds the case “absurd,” according to a statement from the confederation.
“A course intended to fight racism seeks a teacher to look at a part of Jews with… racist eyes,” wrote a respected columnist of the influential Veja magazine.
“The true catastrophe, which sometimes seems to be unsolvable, is education, at all levels. An ABC university notice exposes the depth of our tragedy,” added columnist Reinaldo Azevedo.
he selected teacher will earn $2,500 per month. Founded in 2005 in the Sao Paulo metro area, UFABC is the only federal university in Brazil with 100 per cent of its professors holding doctorate degrees.
